The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) has temporarily suspended the operating licence relating to the payment services specified in subparagraphs (b) and (c) of the first paragraph of Article 12 of Law No. 6493 and the electronic money issuance service specified in the second paragraph of Article 18. Meanwhile, on 4 May 2026, the relevant Administrative Court ruled to suspend the implementation of the contested decision until a new ruling is issued regarding the request for a stay of execution. The decision to suspend implementation will be reassessed by the court following the submission of a statement by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey regarding the decision.
